Our light-transmitting fabric offers a haven for crops from temperature
extremes and loss of heat through convection. A greenhouse sub-roof
creates an insulating "dead air" layer at gutter height
that acts as a barrier to heat loss through the greenhouse roof
(where 68% of all heat escapes).
The fabric also traps and helps
to hold radiant heat by reflecting it back towards the crops.
The fabric can be made to accept zip-on walls for added heat retention
and protection from the elements. When installed gutter to gutter
and down the sidewalls, heat ceiling fabrics can reduce the amount
of space requiring heat by as much as 30% to 50%.
